At Make Waves, sustainability is at the heart of everything we do. It’s our responsibility to leave as light a footprint on the planet as possible - using the most sustainable materials, manufacturing processes and
ingredients.

We’re a proud member of 1% for the Planet (and have been since before we launched) - putting our money where our mouth is and actively investing in a more sustainable future.

Our formulations are the sum of carefully curated ingredients that focus on performance whilst promoting great skin health. All products are vegan friendly and cruelty, alcohol, paraben and phalphate free.

Our supply chain is entirely UK based, meaning we manufacture everything locally to serve local customers. That includes the applicators, the refills, the deodorants, the packaging, the inserts. Everything.

Our partners are either B-Corp accredited or are actively focused on sustainable solutions - including operating on renewable energy where possible (having solar panels fitted etc.), effectively managing and minimising waste in production, and actively promoting a culture of sustainability. Altogether, this ensures that we have one of the lowest carbon footprints on the market.

Sustainability isn't just a buzz word for us.

Our refills are made from 100% recycled plastic (that is 100% recyclable, all within the UK), that has been given a new lease of life. They add absolutely no new material to the world. There is an abundance of plastic in existence today, that if not put to use and kept within a recycling loop, will end up straight in landfill or worse, the ocean. And so we set about putting it to good use!

We spent months researching the most sustainable materials and manufacturing methods for our refills. Other brands use cardboard refills, but sadly they’re largely manufactured in Asia and shipped back to the UK. We weren’t comfortable with the additional carbon footprint from making a product with a high energy and water footprint in a region that predominantly uses non-renewable energy sources, and then shipping them back for a UK market. It felt counter intuitive to being a sustainable company. ‘Plastic free’ solutions often aren’t as climate positive as the seem once you scratch beneath the surface.

Our Antiperspirant formulation combines the performance of antiperspirant ingredients with premium natural ingredients to provide protection when you need it most, whilst being kind to your armpits. You're welcome!

It absolutely is. In fact, Make Waves offer two formulations; Antiperspirant, and Natural Deodorant. Here's a bit more about both of them:

Antiperspirant - this formulation combines the high performance of antiperspirant ingredients with premium natural ingredients to provide a product that stops sweat, but is also kind to your skin. Unique in the market!

Natural Deodorant - this formulation is packed to the brim with premium natural ingredients which get rid of any odour causing bacteria, and absorb moisture. Allowing your armpits to sweat, but keeping you mighty fresh.

Make Waves formulations were developed by global leading experts (and tested by dermatologists) to keep you dry and smelling fresh all day, and long into the night! So don't sweat it, we've got you covered.

Each refill capsule lasts 4-8 weeks depending on usage (and often much longer!).

Sadly, we don't yet offer samples or test size products, but we're a growing company and hope to be able to do so soon! We're working on the most sustainable way to do so.
