There are just four simple steps to refilling your applicator. Let’s get started!
How to reload your Make Waves applicator
We worked with former Dyson engineers to design an innovative and seamless reload mechanism for effortless handling!
Why? Because you shouldn’t have to compromise when it comes to a sustainable lifestyle.
Here are the four simple steps to reloading your applicator.
Before you begin: If you’ve reloaded before, be sure to wind the applicator all the way to the bottom (turning clockwise) before you start. This gives you plenty of room for your new capsule and makes sure everything works smoothly.
1. Twist
Twist the base (bottom part) of your applicator by 90 degrees. You’ll see two slots appear in the body of the applicator—this is where you’ll access the inside to reload.
2. Pinch
Pinch the release clips in the slots presented and pull them away from the main part of the applicator. This will give you space to insert your fresh refill capsule.
3. Click
Remove the old capsule and add your new refill antiperspirant or deodorant capsule. Push down until you hear it click into place. Then, push the top of the applicator back into place until you hear another click - this lets you know everything’s locked in and ready to go.
4. Pop
Wind the bottom of the applicator anti-clockwise to push the antiperspirant or deodorant up, pop the lid off, and you’re all set!
It’s as simple as that! The best bit is this method works for both our antiperspirant and deodorant capsules.

What do I do with my finished capsule?
Making sustainability as simple as possible is one of our main goals at Make Waves.
That’s why we made sure to design our capsules so that they can be recycled with your household recycling (and are made of 100% recycled material themselves)!
How is this possible? Our refills contain a mix of black plastic, they contain special new black plastics that were developed to be detected by the lasers used at nationwide recycling centres.
This creates a circular system that allows us to utilise plastic that would have either ended up in a landfill, or worse, our oceans.
We want to take the hassle out of sustainability. And we don’t just say it.
